Discourse On Ministry Preparation Sequential Order

What is this trait of the animal in man which leads him to want to insult and physically assault that which he cannot spiritually attain or intellectually achieve? In the half-civilized man (or woman) there still lurks an evil brutality which seeks to vent itself upon those who are superior in wisdom and spiritual attainment. Witness the evil coarseness and the brutal ferocity of these supposedly civilized men as they derived a certain form of animal pleasure from this physical attack upon the unresisting Son of Man. As these insults, taunts, and blows fell upon Jesus, he was undefending but not defenseless. Jesus was not vanquished, merely uncontending in the material sense. 184:4.5
We should not be surprised when we encounter men and women (even those who claim to be spiritual/religious) seek to take us down when we simply try to bring the higher truths to their minds. Our world is a strange one! Jealousy, dishonesty, animosity and negativity run rampant. As I have said before we are awash with rebellion on our world of our nativity. It is a rough road. But that doesn’t give us a pass on what Jesus has asked of us.
141:6.4 That night Jesus discoursed to the apostles on the new life in the kingdom. He said in part: “When you enter the kingdom, you are reborn. You cannot teach the deep things of the spirit to those who have been born only of the flesh; first see that men are born of the spirit before you seek to instruct them in the advanced ways of the spirit. Do not undertake to show men the beauties of the temple until you have first taken them into the temple. Introduce men to God and as the sons of God before you discourse on the doctrines of the fatherhood of God and the sonship of men. Do not strive with men — always be patient. It is not your kingdom; you are only ambassadors. Simply go forth proclaiming: This is the kingdom of heaven — God is your Father and you are his sons, and this good news, if you wholeheartedly believe it, is your eternal salvation.”
Let’s break that passage down:
> Introduce men to God and as the sons of God before you discourse on the doctrines (teachings) of the fatherhood of God…
> and the sonship of men.
> first see that men are born of the spirit (have entered the kingdom)
> When you enter the kingdom, you are reborn.
> You cannot teach the deep things of the spirit to those who have been born only of the flesh
> [THEN] seek to instruct them in the advanced ways of the spirit
> Do not undertake to show men the beauties of the temple until you have first taken them into the temple.
> Simply go forth proclaiming: This is the kingdom of heaven — God is your Father and you are his sons, and this good news, if you wholeheartedly believe it, is your eternal salvation.
> It is not YOUR kingdom; you are only ambassadors.
We need to wipe away all preconceived notions here. Forget about who reads the Bible or the Urantia Book or anything else. What matters is ‘who has been reborn into the kingdom’. Here’s the caveat: If someone has truly entered the kingdom, and been reborn, then what they say and do will line up with what Jesus has taught.
Some on our world teach solely the facts ABOUT Jesus and what He said (or did when He rose from the tomb). Some are trying to blow past Jesus and teach the ‘mysteries of the universe’ without obediently walking through the front door of Jesus. Both embrace some good things. But what is needed now is the synergy of the Spirit that will synthesize the entirely whole personality with the kingdom-born individual. And He will then move them right along toward spiritual maturity as they yield to the Father in personal spiritual worship.
And let’s spotlight something here: IT IS NOT OUR KINGDOM; WE ARE ONLY AMBASSADORS!!!
All we need to be is obedient!
"No sincere prayer is denied an answer except when the superior viewpoint of the spiritual world has devised a better answer, an answer which meets the petition of the spirit of man as contrasted with the prayer of the mere mind of man." 168:4.5
We may want with our whole human mind and heart to ‘save the world for Jesus’. And that is a good, beautiful and noble desire. However, if our celestial brothers, and Jesus, determine that our immediate prayer has a superior viewpoint from their higher perspective They will ask for us to WAIT. And don’t we want to do that if that is the better path? YES. I surely do also.
Let’s remember that Jesus ~ Mantutia ~ Our Most High ~ Our Constellation Father and the council of the Four and Twenty are the ones who are in charge. NOT US! Yet, we are needed on a grand scale. This is a team effort here on our world. Humility, patience and courage are our watch-words.
To HIS kingdom building. Blessings, Lucy
